WUGA-FM/UNIVERSITY OF GEORGIA ATHENS, GA

April 25, 2012

Dear Friend,
Thank you for being a supporting part of our history, and welcome to the 25th year of WUGA’s service to our community.
Public Radio in our community is very special, and we all have a desire for it to continue and thrive as we move into the next quarter century.  Would you please take a moment to consider the value of your local station, WUGA, and make a contribution today?

From those early broadcasts in the mid 80’s to today’s rich and varied mix of 21st century national, regional and local programming your radio station has been that well-known ‘oasis of ideas and the arts’.  WUGA Radio is unique as it continues to provide thrilling music, insightful global, national and local news, and a wide variety of entertainment and informational programming.  We at WUGA consider it a privilege to be part of this wonderful endeavor.

Over the past year your station was honored by both the Georgia Association of Broadcasters and the Associated Press for excellence in local news, information and entertainment programming.  We also enjoyed bringing three major programs, From The Top, Marketplace and Mountain Stage to our community for national broadcasts.  Without contributions from listeners and friends we could not maintain the excellence you expect from your local public radio station.

Please renew your support with a gift to WUGA today using the enclosed form making your check payable to the University of Georgia Foundation.  You can also contribute online by following the instructions at wuga.org.

All contributions stay here in Athens and WUGA locally.  Thank you for your gift and your continued support to WUGA.  Please feel free to contact me with suggestions, comments or concerns.  I can be reached on my cell at 706-244-2079.

Sincerely,

Jimmy Sanders
General Manager
