New Faculty at University of Georgia

11 August 2014

Orientation for University of Georgia students is August 13th and classes get underway on the 18th, but new faculty are already at work. While students are preparing to head back to school, new faculty members have already visited the campus. Dozens of new hires attended a day-long conference at the Georgia Center last week.
Four-H agent Crystal Perry was hired in April. She says she’s learning about different departments and the process of being a member of the team.
“I’m getting the mission and the new vision here at UGA and the different new things that have come about over the past few years as well as where the university is headed. So far the past couple months has been great, great experience, and I’m just really looking forward to doing more,” Perry said.
There are nearly 130 new faculty members at UGA this semester.
