Roger Dancz's Invitation to Jazz

Fridays at 8PM
Check the monthly schedule for weekly topics >
Great jazz and great musicians are both timeless. Roger Dancz was a music legend in the Athens area and beyond. From 1987 until his death in 1998, Roger hosted the popular weekly series Invitation to Jazz on WUGA-FM. For four years, Roger's programs were rebroadcast as The Best of Invitation to Jazz.

In October 2002, Roger Dancz's Invitation to Jazz debuted with Roger's son Steve Dancz, himself an accomplished musician, hosting each segment. The series features vintage programs with Roger, as well as new segments produced by WUGA-FM personalities Robb Holmes, Bud Rick, and Matthew White.
