That's why Wordland celebrates the spoken word, from readings to performances: spoken word, slam poetry, fiction read aloud, storytelling, plays, sketches, and the occasional song. |

David Oates has had short stories and poems published in several
magazines. He's worked as a newspaperman, done public-radio
commentary, written more than 100 comic-strip scripts published
in Reuben-award winner "Shoe." He is an experienced
public speaker and currently hosts "Great Apes" comedy.
