The Athens-Banner Herald reported that Mykeisha Ross has joined the race to be the next mayor of Athens-Clarke County.
Qualifying for the Mayoral race ends March 11 with elections held May 24.
Mykeisha Ross is a Clarke Central High School alum and serves as a neighborhood leader for the Cleveland Road zone.
She was also a chief deputy campaign manager for district attorney Deborah Gonzalez and now works for the DA’s office doing community outreach.
Ross joins Pearl Hall and incumbent Kelly Girtz in the race.
