Clarke County School District Updates Masks Policy

The Clarke County School District is updating its mask policy. Starting Monday, February 28, 2022 masks will be optional for all CCSD campuses. In addition, visitors will be allowed back on campuses for meetings and events. The changes come after a continued drop in positivity rates for COVID-19 in Clarke schools. According to a release from the district, all schools are well below 5% and have been for several weeks.

Masks are still required on buses, following guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The district may reinstate mask use temporarily depending on the number of positive cases and masks are still encouraged at large school-based events or gatherings.
