Georgia Ranks Low for COVID-19 Safety

Athens-Clarke County is currently under a high COVID-19 Community Level, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. That means masks are required in government facilities and on Athens Transit. As the number of cases fluctuate around the nation, one finding remains consistent according to the personal finance website WalletHub, and that is Georgia continues to rank near the bottom among states when it comes to COVID-19 safety.

Analyst Jill Gonzalez says the state could show improvement in every area.
