Advance voting opportunities continue through the weekend at the Athens Clarke County Elections Office. The elections office will be accepting ballots from 9am-5pm on Saturday, October 22, and 11am-5pm on Sunday the 23rd.

As of 1pm on Friday, 3,007 Athenians have voted early, about 2.5% of Athens’ population. Georgia voters have hit record breaking turnout for early voting, approaching the vote count seen at the same point in the 2020 presidential election. In-person votes tallied to nearly 400,000 in the first three days of early voting, with Black voters representing 34% of that total even as they make up 29.5% of the overall electorate.

Additional Information on early voting locations and scheduling can be found on the Athens Clarke County Elections Office website.
