Voting Underway for Project Safe's Annual Fundraiser, "Dancing with the Athens Stars"

Voting is underway for Project Safe’s annual fundraiser, Dancing with the Athens Stars.
The nonprofit supports survivors intimate partner violence.

The event showcases the talents of Athens residents who team up with dance instructors and vie for votes in the form of donation dollars.

Project Safe’s primary service area is Clarke, Madison, Oconee, and Oglethorpe counties, but the organization provides services to people from all areas of the state.
Executive Director Joan Prittie discussed the upcoming event with WUGA.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
