The deadline for filing income taxes is about a month away, and while the tax filing season can be a stressful time, this year more Americans are worried about rising prices. Jill Gonzalez is an analyst with the personal finance website WalletHub. She discussed the results of a recent survey, which showed the number one worry for 81 percent of taxpayers was inflation.
She says there were still concerns about taxes, with many taxpayers, just over a third of those polled, saying they also feared not having enough money on tax day. Additional concerns included making a math mistake and getting audited.
Gonzalez says Georgia ranks better than average when it comes to the state’s tax burden.
Georgia taxpayers will see a second tax refund this year, after Governor Brian Kemp authorized over $1 billion in surplus funds to head back to taxpayers.
