Probate Court Judge to Appoint Interim Clerk of Court

Athens-Clarke County Probate Judge Susan Schaffer is accepting applications for the position of Clerk of Superior and State Clerks. Governor Brian Kemp has accepted the resignation of long-time Clerk Beverly Logan, who retiring effective May 31 of this year. Logan has served in Athens-Clarke County for 30 years. The county will call a special election to fill the rest of the current term, which runs through December 2024. Judge Schaffer will appoint an interim Clerk of Court until the special election can be held.

Anyone interested in applying for the position should submit a letter of interest, an affidavit or qualification, and a resume to Judge Schaffer, at The Honorable Susan G. Schaffer, Athens-Clarke County Probate Court, 325 East Washington Street, Suite 200, Athens, GA 30601. Applications must be received in the Probate Court offices by 5 pm, on Monday, May 22nd.
