Athens Clarke County Leisure Services is looking for local organizations to be community project sites for the 22nd Athens MLK Day of Service in January. The annual event brings in hundreds of local volunteers to assist in service projects across Athens.
Any local nonprofit, healthcare organization, school or other public organization is eligible to host volunteers. In addition, the Athens MLK Day of Service Steering Committee is looking for local funds to make the work more sustainable. Local organizations that are interested can apply at www.accgov.com/mlkday through November 12.
