The Athens Area Homeless Shelter is one of organizations working to combat homelessness in Clarke County. Shae Post is Executive Director of the nonprofit. She discussed the scope of the problem with WUGA.
Post said the shelter provide a variety of services for the families with children staying there. Athens Area Homeless Shelter also supports a second more long-term facility which uses education to help develop permanent solutions.
