The free event is open to the public and will be held on Tuesday, February 6 in Mahler Hall at the Georgia Center for Continuing Education. This year’s address will be delivered by the Director of University Relations for the Georgia Department of Public Health Yvette K. Daniels.
Daniels also served as the 77th president of the UGA Alumni Association and finished her term in the summer of 2023. The lecture honors Early’s accomplishment as the first African American student to earn a graduate degree from UGA 62 years ago.
