Athens-Clarke County Government announced that the upcoming project “Georgia Flora” will be installed on the Greenway’s East Campus Connector. An installation date has not been set, but the 100 foot mural will feature flowers associated with Georgia and be designed by longtime Athens resident and artist Amanda Burk.
Burke’s mural work can already be seen around Athens at Automatic Pizza, Boulevard Animal Hospital and more. Burke also owns Flat File Print Shop on Oneta Street. Her design was selected by a community panel after a nationwide call for proposals.
