Over 1000 Athens-Clarke County voters have cast ballots so far for presidential primary

The advance-voting period for the presidential primary continues in Athens-Clarke County.

According to the Athens-Clarke County Elections Office, over a thousand ballots have been cast so far during the advance voting period for the presidential preference primary. The presidential primary allows voters to decide which candidate they would like to represent their party in the General Election held in November.

Over 800 absentee ballots have been issued, and about 200 of those ballots have been returned.

The advance voting period will end Friday, March 8. A detailed voting schedule with in person voting locations can be found online at https://www.accgov.com/advancevoting.

In person voting for the presidential primary will be held on March 12th. All precincts will be open from 7 am to 7 pm.
