Over 8,000 students to graduate from UGA this spring

The University of Georgia will add new alumni to its ranks during its commencement ceremonies on May 9th and 10th.

Over 6,000 undergraduate and over 1,500 graduate students have met the requirements to graduate this spring.

The undergraduate ceremony will take place at 7:30 pm in Sanford Stadium on May 10th, where UGA alumna Allison Schmitt will deliver the address. Schmitt is a highly decorated Olympic athlete and mental health advocate.

The graduate ceremony will occur on May 9th in Stegeman Coliseum. The master’s and specialists ceremony will be held at 10 am, and the doctoral ceremony will take place at 2 pm. Jenna Jambeck, acclaimed professor of environmental engineering, will deliver the address to graduate students.
