The University of Georgia held two commencement ceremonies today, one for masters and specialists students and one for doctoral-level students. Both ceremonies were held at Stegeman Coliseum, where Regents’ Professor and Georgia Athletic Association Distinguished Professor of Environmental Engineering Jenna Jambeck delivered the address.

Nearly 300 doctoral students and almost 1500 masters and specialists students were eligible to graduate at today’s events.

Undergraduate students will celebrate commencement tomorrow at 7:30 pm at Sanford Stadium, where Allison Schmitt, a swimmer awarded ten Olympic medals, will deliver the address. Nearly 7,000 undergraduates are eligible to graduate this year.

Traffic may be significantly impacted tomorrow—Sanford Bridge will close at 7 am and reopen on Saturday the 11th. East Campus Road will close at 5 pm on Friday and will reopen at 10 pm.
