Over Labor Day weekend, ACCGov’s general department administrative offices and facilities, like City Hall and the Court House, will be closed on Monday. All Transit services and offices will be closed as well.
For waste facilities, Downtown district commercial and residential curbside, roll cart, dumpster garbage, and recycling services will be collected as regularly scheduled. However residential areas can expect their garbage and recycling to be collected on the day after it’s normally scheduled. This means that residents who usually have their garbage collected on Monday, can expect it to be picked up on Tuesday, and Tuesday collection will instead be collected on Wednesday.
All other commercial curbside, roll cart, and recycling services will follow the same delayed schedule as residential waste collection.
The Animal Shelter will be closed on Monday for fosters, adoptions, and rescues. Animal Services will not be available for non-emergency calls.
For any outdoor plans this Labor Day weekend, all parks will operate on regular hours. However, all other leisure department facilities, like Sandy Creek Nature Center and Lyndon House Arts Center, will be closed.
