Eastside book lovers rejoice: library site selected by ACC Commission

The Eastside of Athens has long awaited a public library of its own. After Tuesday’s Mayor and Commission meeting, it looks like that library is one step closer to breaking ground. District 8 Commissioner Carol Myers represents part of the eastside. WUGA’s Alexia Ridley sat down with her earlier this week to discuss the latest on the library and more.

Alexia Ridley joined WUGA as Television and Radio News Anchor and Reporter in 2013. When WUGA TV concluded operations, she became the primary Reporter for WUGA Radio. Alexia came to Athens from Macon where she served as the News Director and show host for WGXA TV. She's a career journalist and Savannah native hailing from the University of Michigan. However, Alexia considers herself an honorary UGA DAWG!
