With flu season right around the corner, UGA has launched its #flUGA Flu Vaccine Campaign with immunizations at no cost.
The free flu vaccines are available to students, faculty, and staff around campus at various pop-up locations. The first pop-up clinic will be on Sept. 10 at the BeWellUGA Fest in the Tate Student Center.
According to the CDC, an estimated 30 million people will get the flu every year. The University Health Center hopes to vaccinate 6,500 people on campus this year. Last year they beat that goal by providing 7,400 flu vaccines across campus.
