As the old adage goes, you should never go into business with friends or family, but Shannon Sengstack and Kate Karassick ignored this advice when they decided to open their own daycare center together several years ago. Today, their business has expanded, and their friendship is stronger than ever, making them appreciate each other all the more. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded locally at the StoryCorps mobile booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library in the Fall of 2018. StoryCorps is part of a national initiative to record and preserve the stories of everyday people.
