The episode is in memory of Mr. Richard Trumka, the president of the AFL-CIO, the nation’s largest labor federation, who died in early August.
This first episode of the month features the obituary of one of West Africa’s greatest highlife musician, Sir Victor Uwaifo popularly known as Guitar Boy. The legendary Nigerian musician, artist, and scholar died in his home town, Benin city, Nigeria earlier in the week.
The episode rounds up with news update from South Sudan where planned protests against the government during the week could not hold due to increased police patrols in Juba, South Sudan’s capital.
