Disputes between tenants and landlords over maintenance and safety issues are not uncommon. However, when a tenant at The Universtiy Oaks Apartments tried to organize with her neighbors, she was threatened with an arrest. WUGA's Jeanne Davis speaks with this tenant about the need for updated maintenance, especially in a global pandemic.

UGA has received the Higher Education Excellence in Diversity Award, administered by INSIGHT Into Diversity, a magazine about diversity in higher education in the U.S and Canada.

The award honors colleges that exhibit outstanding efforts and successes in the areas of diversity and inclusion and evaluates schools on the demographics of its students, faculty and staff, as well as diversity initiatives.

Government action in the beginning weeks of the pandemic kept evictions from affecting struggling individuals and families, but now, more low-income people fear losing their homes to eviction.
