The Athens Clarke County logic and accuracy testing of voting equipment will begin today.

The ACC Board of Elections will begin voting equipment testing for the upcoming general election at 10:00 am in the Facilities and Landscape Management building on Lexington Rd. Testing will continue until all units have been tested and proven accurate.

The logic and Accuracy testing is designed to test the new paper-based voting units, check-in system, and optical scan system for recording absentee ballots. During this process, units are calibrated, inspected, and recorded.

Appointments to observe testing are available between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm and can be scheduled by calling 706-613-3150.

The voter registration deadline for the General Election is Monday, October 5. Early voting will begin on Monday, October 12.
