African Perspectives for April 19, 2020

The third episode in April was another instalment of our show of hope, re-assurance, and lifting of spirits during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The episode continued our efforts since March 2020 to do two things. First, to remind our listeners about the importance of observing health and social distancing guidelines from local and national health officials. Second, to relief some of the anxieties of our listeners as we enter into another week of mandated global isolation and social distancing over the pandemic. As part of these efforts, the show shared details of the interesting economic exchange of Chad repaying a $100 million debt to Angola with cattle. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including some of our show’s familiar favorite tunes.
