African Perspectives for December 20, 2020

This third episode in the final month of the year, December turns out to be our final show for the year 2020. The show concludes our extended commemoration of twenty-four years of the show on Athens Public Radio station, WUGA. We round up our muted celebration of the show’s anniversary with music specials and fortnight African music CD giveaways. We are celebrating from November through December by offering African music CD giveaways for our listeners. On this episode, we announce the winners of the the AP @ 24 African Music Giveaway Fortnight #3 and then share the three questions for the final AP @ 24 African Music Giveaway Fortnight #4 competition for the Beautiful Music Label’s 2005 collection: African Christmas: favorite Christmas songs to an African beat. In addition, the episode features holiday greetings to all of our listeners including those celebrating holidays such as Hanukkah, Christmas and Kwanzaa. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including selected tunes from the 2005 3CD Collection, The Essential Guide to Africa.
