African Perspectives for September 20, 2020

This episode, the third in the month of September, introduces the African Diaspora through shared commentaries and music. The African Union, in its constitutive act defines the African Diaspora as people of African origin living outside Africa, irrespective of citizenship and nationality. This celebration of the Africa diaspora on this episode is in honor and support of the Black Lives Matter movement that is winning immediate improvements in the lives of some members of the African Diaspora. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including wonderful selections from different parts of the African Diaspora such as Cuba (Sexteto Habanero band), Peru (Lucila Campos), Trinidad and Tobago (David Rudder), Portugal (Lura) and the United States of America (Janelia).
