African Pespectives for June 14, 2020

This episode is part two of the specials on the genres and impact of music in Africa. In this second show, focus turns to Dr. Adeoluwa’s Okunade’s discussion of instrumentation in African music. The episode also serves to introduce our ever-popular five-week summer musical safari through the African continent. As always, the episode featured selected enjoyable music from Africa and/or by Africans including wonderful instrumentals that featured a wide range of indigenous instruments such as Djembe, kalimba, shekere, kara and so much more.
