Artist in Residence for April: Sold Out

Photo: Jessica Smith

Note: this story celebrates one of the artists in WUGA's 5 year Artist in Residence series which concluded in 2019.

In April we’re celebrating the marvelous sculptor Harold Rittenberry. ALL TICKETS FOR THIS EVENT HAVE BEEN SOLD.  Please stay tuned for news about May's Artist in Residence Event.

You’ve probably seen his exuberant metalwork all around town — at Bear Hollow Zoo, the public library in Athens, the Lyndon House, OCAF, the Brooklyn Cemetery, the shopping center that surrounds Trader Joe’s, the community center at Rocksprings — and in public settings in Atlanta, too.

Attendees will roam through Mr. Rittenberry’s world that includes a sculpture garden, painting studio, extensive library, and metal-working shop. The event will take place largely outdoors at his home.

The event at his home and workshop will be held on Saturday April 13th from 3-5 pm, rain or shine —- with delicious hors d’oeuvres, lemonade and tea catered by Marti’s at Midday and terrific wine supplied by Uncommon Gourmet.

Admission is $15 for Friends of WUGA and $20 for nonmembers. Friends memberships are $30 or more annually.  All tickets for this event have been sold.  Thank you for supporting the arts in this community.
