Athens News Matters: Animal Shelters Expecting Influx of Owner-Surrendered Pets

Animal shelters are expecting an influx of owner-surrendered animals as an unfortunate byproduct of the COVID-19 pandemic. Some owners may not be physically able to care for their pets, while others might face economic hardship. Georgia Humane Society director Debra Berger discusses the challenges shelters face, and how we can help.
