Athens takes a lot of pride in being a music town – the city that gave us REM, Widespread Panic, the B-52s, and so many more. Now some of the town’s biggest musical luminaries are getting a spot on the Athens Music Walk of Fame. Jimmy Sanders offers us this appreciation.
Jimmy Sanders was general manager of WUGA from 2011 to April 1, 2024. He has worked in broadcasting for over 50 years and has produced news, documentary, music, sports and special events programs for radio and television. Jimmy is a graduate of Grady College.
