Athens News Matters: Athens Peer Court

Athens Peer Court is a leadership program in which youth volunteers serve as the lawyers, judge and jury in sentencing hearings for youth who have been charged with misdemeanor offenses. Started by Emily Boness of the University of Georgia J.W. Fanning Institute for Leadership Development, the program has trained dozens of youths. WUGA's Alexia Ridley paid a visit to the courtroom.
