Athens StoryCorps: Dr. Herman McKethan and Yvonne McKethan

As a child, Dr. Herman McKethan faced a lot of bullying from kids at school because of his love of learning. On one memorable day, Herman was surrounded by a group of children ready to pounce when his sister Yvonne jumped into the fray. StoryCorps Athens stories were recorded in Fall 2018 in the StoryCorps Mobile Booth at the Athens-Clarke County Library. These interviews were recorded as part of a national initiative to record and collect the stories of everyday people.
