Braselton Woman Charged with Attempted Murder

A Braselton woman has been arrested for Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder. According to a media release by Jackson County Sheriff Janis Mangum, deputies went sent to the scene at 111 Robert Drive regarding a possible assault.

The caller told authorities her mother lived at the residence with her boyfriend and they had allegedly been in a physical altercation. Deputies were unable to get someone to answer the door. Once they left, the daughter contacted her mother and found out they were at the airport.

Around 12:21 am, Monique Pinkney called Jackson County 911 and said there was a man in the bathtub bleeding from the chest, having difficulty breathing and was unconscious. 

Pinkney told a responding deputy that it was her fault and that she had hit him.

29-year old James Patrick Pritchard was found in the tub, he was taken to Northeast Medical Center in Gainesville, where his is in critical condition, with numerous injuries to his head and body.

52-year old Monique Pinkney was arrested and charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder and two counts of Aggravated Assault.
