Positive cases [of COVID-19]in Athens-Clarke County are on the rise once again this week.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Health, there are 13,111 cases of coronavirus in Clarke County. The county also has a 6.6% PCR test positivity rate out of 1,598 tests administered in the past 14 days. Surrounding counties are also seeing their positivity rates increasing as well.
This week, Oconee County has a 5.5% positive rate and Jackson County is now at 10.3%. Madison County also has a higher rate at 9.7%, and Barrow County at 8.4%.
