Envision Athens Seeks Public Input

Since October 2016, Envision Athens has been working with citizens and community stakeholders to develop a comprehensive vision for Athens over the next 20 years. This week, the group will hold four public input meetings about their Draft Action Agenda. WUGA’s Martin Matheny sat down last week with Sharyn Dickerson, co-chair of Envision Athens and an ACC Commissioner to find out more.

Envision Athens meetings:

Monday, September 25 from 5:30 PM - 8 PM in the Athena Ballroom at the Classic Center

Tuesday, September 26 from 11:30 AM - 2 PM in the Community Room at the Lyndon House

Tuesday, September 26 from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM in cafeteria at Cedar Shoals High School

Thursday, September 28 from 4:30 PM - 7:30 PM in cafeteria at Clarke Central High School

Martin Matheny is WUGA's Program Director and a host and producer of our local news program 'Athens News Matters.' He started at WUGA in 2012 as a part-time classical music host and still hosts WUGA's longest-running local program 'Night Music' which is heard on WUGA and GPB Classical. He lives in Normaltown with his wife, Shaye and dog, Murphy.
