Georgia Is 2020’s Worst State for Health Care – WalletHub Study

WalletHub

A recent study shows Georgia ranks last in the nation in providing healthcare to its residents.

WalletHub, a personal finance organization, measured a number of factors and found that Georgia ranked last for healthcare accessibility and 47th in terms of healthcare outcomes.

Jill Gonzalez, a WalletHub analyst, explains why.

Right now Georgia has one of the lowest insured rates in the country, that’s for adults and children, and in a snowball effect we see very poor health outcomes when it comes to heart disease, diabetes, and death rate. So one certainly has to do with the other.

To improve these numbers Gonzalez recommends the adoption of more certifiable health clinics and telehealth services. Analysts studied factors including average monthly insurance premium, physicians per capita and share of insured population.
