Georgia COVID-19 Cases

There are now more than 13-thousand cases of COVID-19 in Georgia. According to the state Department of Public Health, 13,315 people have coronavirus. 2,589 of those infected are hospitalized and there have been 464 deaths.

Locally, Clarke County has 85 cases and 11 deaths. Barrow has 55 with three deaths. Cases in Oconee County now number 39. Jackson County has 27 cases with one death. In Oglethorpe County there are now 13 cases and one death. Madison County has 10 cases, one death.  

Fulton County continues to lead the state in number of cases with 1,598 and 52 deaths. Dougherty County has 1,217 and 77 deaths-the most in the state.

The numbers are update twice daily, at noon and 7 pm in the department’s COVID-19 Daily Status Report.
