Georgia Department of Labor Hosting Job Fairs in Athens

The Georgia Department of Labor is hosting a series of job fairs in Athens. The department is partnering with Jo-Ann Fabrics and Crafts for a second day, Friday, July 12, from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m. at the Athens Career Center, located at 150 Evelyn C. Neely Dr., Athens, Georgia.

In addition, the agency is working with Carter’s Distribution Center in Braselton for an upcoming job fair. That event will also be held on July 12 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Athens Career Center.

From 9 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Friday, representatives from Express Employment Professionals will host a Recruitment Event for the following positions: Manufacturing/Assembly, Re-Winder, Entry Level Sales Representative, Electricians, Service Technician, Call Center Representative, and Golf Course Maintenance.

In an additional event, the DOL is joining DSC Logistics for a job fair Tuesday, July 16 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. The firm hopes to hire forklift operators/operation specialists. Pay is up to $14.40 per hour.

Applicants are encouraged to bring their résumés, driver’s licenses and dress business casual to improve their chances to be hired.

All events will take place at the Athens Career Center.
