Jackson County Animal Shelter in 'Desperate' Need of Dry Dog Food

The Jackson County Animal Shelter is in desperate need of dry dog food. Director Brad Richards says the facility currently has 120 animals. The shelter also needs bleach and laundry detergent. Those wanting to donate can stop by the shelter located at 29 Galilee Church Road, Saturday from 9 am to 1 pm. It is also open on Tuesdays and Thursday from 9 am to 4 pm.

Items can also be dropped off at the Jackson County Historic Courthouse located at 85 Washington Street Monday through Saturday from 10 am to 3 pm.
