Lyme disease is on the rise, and treatment is behind

Cases of Lyme disease – a tick-borne illness characterized by fever, headache, and sometimes a rash –  are on the rise across the country, and some reports suggest the disease is spreading into Georgia. When left untreated, the illness can lead to serious and expensive health complications.
