A new exhibit at the Lyndon House Arts Center is aimed at challenging labels and limitations about race, nationality, gender, ability and sexual orientation. LaRuchala Murphy is the guest curator for the exhibit.
Murphy is also the first recipient of the Lyndon House’s guest BIPOC Curator Program. She issued a regional art call for Black artists around the southeast to submit works in a variety of mediums to put the exhibit together. Murphy wants visitors to have a multifaceted experience.
#notastereotype is on view through July 24.
