Revenues Up for Clarke County School Board

The Clarke County Board of Education meets at 6 pm today. Board members will hear about the district’s current financial posture, and district officials are painting a generally rosy picture. The district’s Cash and Fund Balance is on track to be higher than last year’s, with close to $6 million in that fund, compared to $4.5 million last year. The district is also set to receive $3.6 million in state funding in the second half of this year. The district says that overall, revenues are up from last year, while expenditures are down slightly.

This evening’s meeting will be live-streamed on the district’s YouTube page , and in-person attendance is not allowed.
