The Athens-Clarke County Mayor and Commission are holding a Special Called Session regarding SPLOST 2020 Thursday evening.
City leaders are scheduled to vote on the projects list, initial project statements, and intergovernmental agreement language for the SLPOST 2020 Program during that session. It’s scheduled for 6 pm at City Hall in the Commission Chamber.

Voters will decide on the referendum on November 5. If approved, collections will begin in April 2020. Total sales tax will not increase, but will continue at the current rate of 8% since the current SPLOST 2011 will end in March 2020. For more information, visit www.accgov.com/splost2020.
