Turning Point USA Stops at Classic Center in Athens Tuesday

Due to Turning Point USA making a stop in Athens Tuesday evening, several roads will be closing downtown.

Donald Trump Jr., former FOX News Anchor Kimberly Guilfoyle, Charlie Kirk and Candace Owens will join Republican gubernatorial candidate Brian Kemp at the Classic Center. Those planning to attend must have tickets and valid ID.

The ACCPD is closing the courthouse parking deck at the corner of East Hancock Avenue and North Thomas Street at 2 pm today.

At 4 o’ clock portions of some roads around the Classic Center will close, they include Foundry Street, North Thomas Street, East Washington Street, and a portion of road near the corner of East Clayton Street and North Thomas designated for the media.

In addition to road closings, the Tax Commissioner’s Office and the Tax Assessor’s Office will close at 3:45 pm Tuesday and will resume regular business hours at 8 am Wednesday.

Doors open at 6 pm and the event starts at 6:30.

It is being hosted by Turning Point USA at UGA.

Beginning at 2:00 pm, the Courthouse Parking Deck at the corner of E. Hancock Ave. and North Thomas St. will close to the public.
