The University of Georgia holding its 18thannual Martin Luther King Jr. Freedom Breakfast Friday. Though virtual, the event will still contain many elements of the traditional in-person gathering. Dr. Michelle Cook is the Vice Provost of Diversity and Inclusion and Strategic University Initiatives.

Holmes’ father was one of the first Black students to desegregate the University of Georgia in 1961, along with Charlayne Hunter-Gault This year’s theme is: The Power of the Dream: Forging a Path Forward.” The video premiered Friday and can be seen on UGA’s Facebook page.
