UGA "Padres e Hijos" Program to Relaunch in Fall

UGA Today

The University of Georgia has announced plans to relaunch a program that ended in 2016 to recruit more Hispanic and Latino students to enroll at the university.

UGA’s Presidential Task Force on Race, Ethnicity, and Community has allotted $30,000 to re-establish the “Padres e Hijos” program this upcoming fall and for the foreseeable future. According to a press release from UGA, the program brings underrepresented and academically well-performing high school seniors and their families to the UGA campus as a way to address prospective students’ questions about life at the university and also provides guidance to their families on the enrollment process.
