UGA Sends Out COVID-19 Vaccination Survey

Alissa Eckert, Dan Higgins

Last night UGA sent out a survey of the entire University community. It asked about COVID-19 vaccinations, and whether or not members of the University community would get tested through UGA.

On Thursday night the University of Georgia sent out an email to faculty, staff, and students on the likelihood that they would want a coronavirus vaccine.

Respondents can answer that they intend to take a vaccine, that they would like to be signed up for the vaccine through the University of Georgia, or that they have no intention of taking the vaccine at all. They can also note if they have already or are planning on getting the vaccine some other way.

The survey also asks respondents for their age and several general questions about health conditions that may make COVID-19 more dangerous for them.

The survey is voluntary, and the deadline for responding is January 21st, next Thursday. The University has not yet announced whether or not the results will be made public.

According to the Center for Disease Control, Georgia has administered 204,301 doses of the first half of the vaccine, and 22,324 people have been fully vaccinated.
