UGA Women’s Tennis Takes SEC Title

UGA's women’s tennis team, ranked number three in the nation, clinched the SEC title with a win over number 40 Alabama in Athens on Thursday. This is the team’s eighteenth SEC title; they last won the conference title in the 2019 season.

From the UGA Women's Tennis website: Doubles was clinched by the duo of Meg Kowalski and Lea Ma who defeated Alba Cortina Pou and Anna Parkomenko on court three, 6-1. The No. 3 duo of Katarina Jokic and Ariana Arseneault went up against Moka Ito and Loudmilla Bencheikh on court one and bested them 6-1. Elena Christofi and Morgan Coppoc went unfinished in their match up 4-3. The 15-1 Bulldogs - undefeated in the SEC – meet Auburn at home on Saturday.
